What the tool does

Eligibility first

Every federal opportunity lists which applicant types it accepts. Tell us your entity type once and we flag the ones you are not eligible for, before you spend a week on them.

Fit scoring

Results are scored on eligibility, focus-area overlap, award size and how much time is left before the deadline — with the reasoning shown, so you can disagree with it.

Drafting help

Upload the notice and your supporting documents, and get a structured first draft of the narrative sections. You review and file it — we never submit on your behalf.

How It Works

1. Describe your organization

Your entity type, where you work, what your programs actually do, and the award sizes you can manage. Entered once, used on every search.

2. Search and sort by fit

Live Grants.gov results, ranked against your profile, with ineligible opportunities marked and the reasoning for each score shown.

3. Draft the narrative

Upload the notice and your own documents. The assistant extracts the questions and drafts answers from what you supplied, flagging anything it could not source.

4. You review and file it

Export to DOCX, edit it, and submit it yourself through Grants.gov or the funder's own portal. Grantly does not submit applications for you.

What Grantly does not do

  • —It does not predict whether you will be funded. Fit scores describe how well an opportunity matches your organization. Award decisions rest on peer review, agency priorities, and a competing applicant pool that no software can see.
  • —It does not invent your numbers. Where a question needs budget figures, outcome data, or organizational history we do not have, the draft flags it for you to fill in rather than guessing.
  • —It does not replace a grant writer on a complex federal application. It gets you a structured draft faster; the judgment is still yours.
  • —It does not make you eligible. Most federal programs fund institutions — nonprofits, schools, governments, Tribal organizations, health centers. If you are an individual or an ineligible entity type, we will tell you so.
